Gowning Room Solutions
Top quality - made in Germany.
Airlocks and gowning rooms are designed to create an essential barrier between uncontrolled facility spaces and cleanroom operations.
Their cleanliness is related to the ISO classification of the main room, and the size and capacity is unique to the application and process requirements.
Having a correct gowning procedure is crucial for the performance of a cleanroom, although the gowning protocol itself will vary depending on the needs of the particular facility, including its ISO or GMP classification.
Our partner KEMMLIT-Bauelemente GmbH manufactures customised high-quality gowning room and cleanroom interior solutions.

Personnel Airlock
The purpose of the cleanroom gowning procedure is to limit particles from getting in or on garments before entering the cleanroom. Therefore airlock and gowning room design should facilitate a proper gowning procedure by providing the necessary space and appropriate layout.
A well designed room can be differentiated in 3 zones: (1) a pre-changing zone or locker room, (2) the changing zone, and (3) the entrance zone. The layout of the gowning area must facilitate the cleanroom gowning protocol, and each area should be equipped with the furniture and cleanroom supplies to support the correct gowning procedure.
We provide all types of changing rooms, from simple coat-hanger, sit-over bench configurations to sterile gowning airlocks for grade B GMP cleanrooms, using application-optimised materials such as HPL, powder-coated- or stainless steel.

Personnel Changing Room
Operators should clean exposed skin surfaces and leave their outdoor clothing and personal accessories behind before entering the gowning area or airlock.
Whether GMP Annex 1 applies to your facility and you have to facilitate that "Outdoor clothing should not be brought into changing rooms leading directly to Grade B and C cleanrooms", or whether you operate an ISO facility that has to bring 20 operators in and out, per individual shift, it is good practice to consider to have a seperate pre-changing zone.
A well designed change area can be differentiated in 3 zones: (1) a pre-changing zone or locker room, (2) the changing zone, and (3) the entrance zone.
The layout of the changing zone must facilitate the cleanroom gowning protocol, and each area should be equipped with the furniture and cleanroom consumables dispensers to support the correct gowning procedure.
